management techniques such as Total Quality Management (TQM), Six

many more to the practial needs for the customers of translation
services and the translation agencies that provide the services.

Current Research Questions
Our current research activities focus around several questions:
- What are the best practices for statistical quality management
in the translation industry?
- There seem to exist several de-facto quality levels in the industry.
How can we identify and quantify them?
- Only a small fraction of translation companies seem to use statistical
quality control in their daily operations. What are the reasons
for this situation and how would the adoption of these technologies
be improved?
If you are interested in one of these questions please
contact us and let us know.
